The only information I found about this man is written in Dutch and is from a Wikipedia article. Further his biography concerns specifics about Belgian politics, so if any reader can make sense of this for me please leave a comment.
The University has an interesting history, as it was a private university and played a major role in the history of Belgium, and especially Belgium. At age 22 Adolphe was awarded his Ph.D. in law and worked for the rest of his life as a lawyer in Brussels.
After a long career in Law, in 1870 he was elected as a member of parliament for the district of Brussels and maintained this mandate until 1884. A year later he became the counselor for Brabant county that he maintained until his death on the 25th of May 1892.
Brussels has four streets that are dedicated to men with the name Adolphe, including, Demeur, Max, Buyl, and Lacomblé.
