Like many boxers Adolf Witt suffered from head injuries, one of which lead to a brain injury and allowed to to get off any further chargers.
His career started when he was 18 years old and continued until his death at the age of 50. Being a boxer during World War II meant that Witt was the poster boy for the Aryan race. In one fight he was playing against a Sinti named Trollmann, he was meant to beat him easily as he was a heavier weight, but Trollmann was knocking him down for 6 rounds. Suddenly the boxing authority which all happened to be members of Hitler's party claimed that the judges can not make a decision. The crowds went wild, and in the end Adolf Witt lost the fight.
