In a dimly lit room, he paces back and forth, his mind racing with thoughts of his next role. Some know him from his radio stories, or his screenwriting and director work, while others only know him by his alter ego, Nanouk C. Wilmer. But who was he really? The mysterious Alexander Adolph, born on November 10th, 1965 in Munich, is a man of many talents.
Alexander is often cast in German murder mystery TV shows. His talent was evident from a young age. He studied law at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and passed the First and Second State Examinations with flying colors. From his studies of law and crimes his true passion lead him to acting in criminal shows. His first claim to fame was from his stories written for radio which in 1997 won him the the international radio play prize U.R.T.I. (Grand Prix de la Radio) for his radio play ‘Flirt’. Since then, he has made a name for himself as a screenwriter and director.

Alexander Adolph stole the show with his powerful performance and received the Adolf-Grimm-Preis in 2002 for his work "Im freien Fall", an episode of Tatort that explored the world of art forgery. The Adolf Grimme Awards (Adolf-Grimme-Preis in German) is something like the German version of the Grammies, it is named after the German director and journalist Adolf Grimme. The award was first presented in 1964 and is one of the most important awards in German television. The award is given to outstanding television productions and individual achievements in the fields of writing, directing, acting, and production. Adolph Alexander has also received awards for his work on the ZDF series "Unter Verdacht" and the documentary "Die Hochstapler".
When he's not on set, the actor can be found teaching his craft at the ”Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film” München, the Internationalen Filmschule Köln, and the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. With his talent and dedication, there's no doubt that this actor will continue to captivate audiences for years to come.
